Sorry for the delay! It's literally been too busy to post. Everyone is doing great & cannot believe we're leaving tomorrow. In some ways it feels like we have been here for weeks and in others we feel like we've had hours. Thanks for praying for us. Make sure to ask your students all about the trip and what they've learned. There are lots of hilarious stories, encouraging moments and evidences of God's power and presence.

We roll out tomorrow at 8 am. Pray for our journey and expect a call from your students a few hours outside of Grand Rapids to let you know our arrival time!

Thanks again!

Day 2

Tuesdays coming to a close and rest is eagerly awaiting us! Today we spent time at our various sites and finished our night with a scavenger hunt in the historic downtown of Charleston. Time is flying and there are hardly even moments to call home or catch a breath! We're having fun though and hope to have a minute for some students to write and share from their perspective later this week!

Of course with all the fun comes a few bumps. :) Please pray for Anna, who has come down with a stomach bug and a for some other queasiness that's passing around. We sure are tired and hot!

Thanks again!

Welcome to Charleston!

We're at the YouthWorks site and unpacking! It's about 6pm and we are both excited & tired. It feels great to finally be here and you can tell there is excitement buzzing in all of the kids!

More to come!

We've made it!

We have safely arrived in Newark, Ohio and have been enjoying the Coco Key West Waterpark for the evening! Lots of new friendships, pizza and frightening water slides.
(Ok, maybe just frightening for Kristi Widdis and Sara Tindall)

We will head out tomorrow morning towards Charleston at 11 and cannot wait. We will post more pictures tonight, but not until we catch a few more minutes in the pool!

Thanks for caring from afar and praying for us.

Middle School Ministry @ Calvary 7/8 grade trip

7th and 8th grade students at Calvary church will embark on an adventure of epic porportions on June 25th and minister to those in the Charelston West Virgina area. Please be in prayer as we prepare our hearts and minds for the work ahead. This blogspot will serve as a place to post thoughts, pictures, and updates of what God is doing before and during the trip. We look forward to the awesome things God has in store!
